On our way there we decided to look for three things (bluebonnets, buses and cows) and point them out whenever we saw them. When we got back we made cards to use for our next road trip:

Yay, cable car! I did that (or some version of it) when I was a kid! Out in the back yard, and used it for my Star Wars characters. Your method is soooo perfect for us...we'll do it tonight!
