The envious elbow spied on the mabsoot robot, or Popsicle stick puzzles.

First we put masking tape on one side of our Popsicle stick square:

Then we turned the sticks over and drew self-portraits using letters of the alphabet (Ws or Ss for hair; U for the face; Os for eyes; L for the nose; Cs for ears; P for the mouth; Vs for eyebrows):

When we were done we took the tape off:

Scrambled the sticks:

And put them back together:

We put rubber bands on to store:

Check out We Made It, Friday Showcase at Ramblings of a Crazy Woman for more ideas.

I saw these posted on another blog recently too! I might just have to break out the popsicle sticks soon!

Great project. I love inexpensive things from around the house that we can use to teach our kids.

Thanks for linking and have a great weekend.

Fun, we used to make these at the beginning of the year during out All About Me theme only we used a picture and the child's name. Then a few would be put out each day in a center and everyone would have fun making each other's name.
