The burning easel chased the forbidden corner.

This is my submission to Inspiration Flirtation, where this week's challenge is to create a work of art out of junk. The boys and I made this mailbox out of one of the many boxes left over from the holidays, poked some holes in the back and tied it to the baker's rack with ribbon from yet another present. On the front Zachary wrote "MAIL" and drew a flower and Corey wrote "LOL." We then cut up some empty boxes from the pantry (we traced around a magazine subscription card) and made the postcards.

The bedraggled bedspread devoured the broken mountain.

Last night Corey finally asked to sleep in his big boy bed. I told him to stay there the whole night...when Zachary went up to get him this morning (he started calling for me shortly after 6) Corey told him, "No! Mommy told me not to get out of my car bed." So after I convinced him that it was okay to get up, he said, "Next time I will stay in my car bed so I can dream about Wiggles--Sam, Anthony, Jeff and Murray!"

Here he is with the light-switcher I showed Zachary how to make...

And in his bed...

The penultimate owl discovered the midday lemonade.

This is my not so very interesting blog, but go ahead and read it if you'd like. To start you off, here are a poem and some pictures from my youth...

Owed to Holly

“Her day’s going well,”
says Alice’s Mel.
“No, all is not right!”
yells Coach Bobby Knight.
“But why ever not?”
inquires Marge Schott.
“She would like presents,”
Desi Arnaz hints.
