The pointy gargoyle ate the carnivorous beard.

Today we made cakey hamantashen for Purim using a recipe from Allrecipes. Here is what you need: 1 (18.25 ounce) package moist yellow cake mix, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 eggs, at least 2 tablespoons water, and 1 cup fruit preserves, any flavor.

First, mix together the cake and flour:



Add eggs:



Remove shells:



Add water:



Stir:



On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into circles:



Place 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets, then place a teaspoon of filling into the center of each cookie:



Pinch or fold sides to form three corners (see here), and moisten with water if necessary:



Bake for 6 to 8 minutes in oven preheated to 375 degrees, or until lightly browned (I put ours in the refrigerator to chill for a bit first), then cool on wire rack:



Choose your hamantash:



And eat:
