Today's Picnic Table Talk is about arts & crafts. Since my blog is mostly about our arts & crafts projects, I thought I'd show you what we do when we don't feel like doing much of anything. Here are two things we can leave out and come back to whenever we feel like it.
Here we are putting things on contact paper:

And here's our family sketchbook, which we leave on a table in the living room:

i love the idea of a sketch book laying out!
I loved the contact paper - maybe still a bit early here, but the results are quite nice!
I love the family sketch book idea. What a neat way to look back on the stages each member of your family goes through. Thanks for adding your link

We always have our sketch book (journal) out. I like the idea of putting contact paper on the window.
I need to start a family sketchbook at our house. My kids have lined journals they draw in, but it would be nice to have a big journal with white paper for everyone to draw.
I keep meaning to do the contact paper activity, I've seen it on a few blogs and it looks like fun!
Stopping by via sits.. love the sketch book idea! What an awesome momento for when they grow up:)
I love the sketchbook idea. Thank you for sharing all of your great ideas!
I love the sketchbok idea-thanks for sharing!
What a great idea, love the family sketch book! Like the contact paper collage too, assume the sticky side is outward, so does it just cling to the window on it's own?
Katie, the sticky side is outward and it's just taped to the window.
